“During the fall Venice experiences a flooding called ‘Aqua Alta’. It occurs when the tides rise above normal and there are heavy rains. When this happens most of the city is knee deep in water. On this particular day the skies cleared up and the sun was shining brightly, exposing all the vibrant colors of the buildings. I took advantage of the conditions and caught the reflection of Saint Mark’s Basilica with the Doges Palace in the water.” – Lee Sie
