“The Sea” is a single photograph taken in Laguna Beach California. The photo was taken with the camera partially submerged to capture the perspective from above and below the waterline of a small wave at the same time. This is one image and not two composite images. A customized underwater camera housing was used to offset the waterline from the camera lens to create the “aquarium” view you see. A flash was used to illuminate the water and sea floor.
