Inspired by his Ukrainian immigrant family’s old travel photos and issues of National Geographic, as a small child, Taras loved the imagery of people and places near and far and was always mesmerized by the stories captured in a photo and dreamed of visiting those places
captured on print.
Even later as an adult with a career in the entertainment industry and on his own travel adventures, capturing stories via imagery was always constant, whether a historic place, a natural vista or a slice of local life.
A few years ago and during a very dark period in life, Taras turned to photography and began capturing the beautiful stories of the sand, sea, and sky of his backyard of the South Bay.
Art is therapy and there is nothing more therapeutic than getting back to nature and capturing its wonders for others to enjoy. Now with camera in tow everywhere he goes, Taras captures the natural wonders of the coast, his travels to the deserts and mountains, but also the great urban scapes and landmarks of his native Los Angeles.
Taras resides in Redondo Beach, CA and his gallery work has been showcased at a couple of local shows as well as El Segundo Magazine. He focuses on landscape photography and also does portraiture and product work for local businesses and individuals. He’s also been interviewed by Authority Magazine, which you can read here.
